Getting people to see your offer is one thing, but closing them is another ball game. Once I got down having people actually see my offer closing became an issue for me. In fact, when I’ve spoken with other marketers, they also seem to have the same problems- How do I close? or How do I convince someone to join or buy?
First let me say, you should never try to convince anyone to do anything….Instead you should be asking them this 4 step closing question, taken from Eric Worre. This sequence of questions will help you understand what your prospect actually wants. After the presentation you ask:
- On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being zero interest and 10 being you’re ready to get started right now, where are you?
- If they say anything between 2-5 ask: What would you need in order to get to a (next number)?
- Now if they answer between a 6-9 this is where the closing questions come in:
- Based on what you’ve seen, if you were to get started on a part-time basis, approximately how much would you need to earn per month to make this worth your while?
- Approximately how many hours could you commit per week to develop that kind of income?
- How many months would you commit to working that many hours per week to get that income?
- If I could show you how to develop an income of X per month, working X hours per week, over the course of X months, would you be ready to get started?
